| 731996 | 2008-12-23 08:58:00 | Yeah...that's on the top of page 162 in last year's diary. I had an employer who let his three macaws eat his HiLux truck. Well I had a Galah as a pet some time back. Those and Cockatoos have been known to pull leadhead nails from roofing iron. Pets do what they like at times. My cat would towl up a macaw any day of the week. |

| 731999 | 2008-12-23 19:51:00 | Ooooooh! <from a backpacker's log book> '...................When I glanced behind, I found it sobering to find five keas quietly walking along behind me only a few feet away. They recognized I was in trouble and saw me as a potential meal, just as they do sheep that wander into their highland haunts during the harsh winter months.' No thanks! Are these like the cute dinosaurs in Jurassic Park? I'll stay here and live with rattlesnakes, tarantulas and scorpions. At least you know where you stand with them! |

That star is between Upper Hutt and Wellington. Is there also a Lower Hutt? Now...zooming in a little closer in "Hybrid" mode I see that you have accidentally sent me to a forest. A dark forest. A VERY dark forest. Is this in response to something I might have said to displease you? Does this somehow mean that I will not get to go on a house-to-house beer tasting tour? |

My cat would towl up a macaw any day of the week. DoC is gradually replacing lead head nails on their hut roofs in the South Island because the keas are getting lead poisoning from eating them. |
