| 731799 | 2008-12-23 19:45:00 | Well I had it running on a P3 with 128Mb RAM last night not as quick as this 2Gb dual core but ran just fine am thinking about installing it on that machine so I can have a proper play with it | gary67 (56) | ||

If you can't get any Linux distro to run without problems, then Puppy will not be different. I don't think Linux and Joe are meant to be. :) Does that mean no puppy for Joe for Christmas? :dogeye: (Note the entirely appropriate use of this icon!!) |

| 731802 | 2008-12-23 20:39:00 | Am I hearing that I should try this? Remember that I have NEVER had anything L-based run for me up to now. Is this the day it all changes? Or not? Unlike vehicles, no sump full of oil is required, neither does the operator need to be fuelled. Minimal choke should be required to start it. |

| 731807 | 2008-12-24 00:08:00 | I think Puppy is wasted on a 2GB dual core pc. SUSE or similar would be better for that. Puppy is more for alot less RAM and alot less CPU power. Don't let me stop you experimenting in Linux though. Go for it!! |
