840771 2009-12-18 23:52:00 Normal Xbox controller is what I have, has a little USB adapter thing on the end of it. It works with pretty much everything but alot of the time its easier using the keyboard and mouse. For shooters anyway hueybot3000 (3646)

840773 2009-12-18 23:55:00 So I should get a normal Xbox controller? Will that work?

You could but you would have to get the drivers off the MS website (not a hard process) but otherwise yes it would work. The only difference between the "for Windows" one and the one that doesn't say "for Windows" is that the "for Windows" one has a driver CD (unless you get the wireless one which includes one of these (www.blogcdn.com)).

Any idea about game compatibilty? I presume that it should work with games that are on both xbox and PC?

840775 2009-12-18 23:59:00 I sorta of came into ownership of it after someone left it at my house lol but I think places like gamesman sell them.

As far as compatibility goes, I dont think ive played a game that was released on both console and pc and had issues. I know the first Colin Mcrae Dirt didnt work, second one does though

Yes, I've found my one supports most games that I've played without any major issues.

It'll work on both Xbox and PC.

840779 2009-12-19 01:33:00 It'll say it supports Xbox 360 controller, for a PC game, (on the box), if it works. If it doesnt it may not work Speedy Gonzales (78)
