I have noticed that I did get disconnected in Mirc a few times. BUT, that have have been due to the ops fixing up the server |

Install the latest driver from the manufacturer anyway. You may find then that you don't have to select all those options.
Usually the drivers Microsoft supplies will work, but they are very generic and don't have everything that a specific driver will. |
