733129 2008-12-28 18:09:00 Hi Guys

Like many of us, I used to use Spybot and Aware.

But recently I have been using PCtools Sypware Doctor. It seems OK. I liek the way it runs in the background.

What are you using and why ?

What is good about it ?

What is bad about it ?

733130 2008-12-28 18:22:00 wainuitech spends half his life cleaning out spyware from computers and his recommendations on his signature would indicate they are the most reliable.

Signature
SuperAntispyware | Ccleaner |Spybot S & D | SpywareTerminator |Malwarebytes
Safari (3993)
733131 2008-12-28 19:27:00 Er None since about 2 years ago, occasionally install one and nothing gets found so just don't bother and neither does my wife on her machine but then no one else uses them but my step son has super and malware bytes on his gary67 (56)
733132 2008-12-28 19:39:00 Mine don't find anything either - but the day I do get something - well I'd rather know about it immediately.

I have:
Spybot
Malware Bytes
SuperantiSpyware
Spyware Terminator
Counterspy
Hijackthis

And
NOD32
Zone Alarm Pro v4

Counterspy is good but a bit of a resource hog when its doing stuff.
My current favourite free ones are SPybot and Malware Bytes, but that can change.
Went off both AdAware and SPyware Doctor a while ago.

Spybot in particular is good.

733138 2008-12-28 21:06:00 Eset SS on desktop (planning to buy it because I upgraded to 64 Bit and ZA doesn't work) plus Malwarebytes.

Just Avast on Eee PC at the moment, might buy a 2 PC license and put Eset on it instead.
