| 733899 | 2009-01-01 00:44:00 | Alright so I've finally decided I want to upgrade my old Altec Lansing VS2220's and get something a little better. Budget is $250 or less. Am really keen on either the Logitech Z-2300 ($230) or the Logitech X-530 ($99) Obviously a huge price difference, but I've read MANY of reviews for both, and they both have their cons (for me) I will be mainly using it for music, with some movies but little to no gaming. Logitech Z-2300 -Quite expensive -Many people say that the midtone in these are very bad Logitech X-530 -Wouldn't have the best surround sound set up (unless the cables are very long and would be placed in the corners of my room) -Crappy soundcard doesn't support 5.1 (I THINK) I'm leaning more towards some 2.1, and the Z-2300 have so many good reviews, but at the same time so many people say it's got good bass but that's really it. Need some really good speakers for music that won't cost me too much. Any ideas? EDIT: Now looking into the Logitech Z4 2.1 |

| 733903 | 2009-01-01 05:44:00 | I have quite a nice $1000+ stereo that I've hooked up to my PC with a cable bought from DSE. Sounds great IMO. I already had the stereo and the cable cost ~$12. It's OK for games, but I could do with a sub sometimes. |

How is the midtone with those speakers in your opinion? Is it all that noticeable with music? |
