| 733351 | 2008-12-29 08:08:00 | I'm enjoying my holiday in hong kong right now, so I haven't been posting much lately.B Might start regularly posting again on the 11th when I arrive in Auckland. Anyways, enough about my holidays, back to the point of this post: I saw a 160gb 2.5" external hard drive (seagate with some case, transcend or something) retailing in a shop for about 400HK dollars, equivalent to about 80NZ dollars. If I took 5 over to NZ to sell on trademe (make a bit of pocket money, fund raising for a bigger HDD:p) how much tax would I be charged? Or where could I find out? Cheers and happy holidays! Blam |

| 733354 | 2008-12-29 11:59:00 | Just put one in each bag and don't say anything. As long as you don't have to much of them that make you look as though you are going to sell them you will be ok. I would get rid of the packaging though so it looks as though you are not going to sell them. (No box = not for retail/sale, = must be for friends/family). I brought through 500 dvds/cds for myself/family/friends by simply getting rid of the boxs/covers and putting them in 2 dvd wallets/cases and putting them in different bages. Went through customs,nothing to declare,went through x-ray picked up bags,walked out of airport,drove home sweet as!!! PS. Look confident,bored just want to go home. Dont sweat/get nervious/look shifty/get upset with anyone. And you will be all good!!! |

| 733356 | 2008-12-29 13:11:00 | Lol you guys are dodgy. i like that. just take them through security and say your building a gaming pc that can account for up to 4 of them generally(even though if it was a gaming pc they'd probably be 320-500gb atleast) and then say the rest are backups. P.S wearing a black cloak with the words i have a bomb printed on the back in airports in really fun ive heard... wanna try for me? |

Gently/carefully place brief case/bag down somewhere out of the way but making sure the security cameras can see you/it and then quickly run out screaming GOD IS GREAT!!! | 733359 | 2008-12-29 16:04:00 | Well you could say that you don't recognise the court and say you are following a higher calling and that its a decadent western Bolshevik regime and that you are a child of God and you know your rights even though they are the weak capitalist dogs and you want to do a book deal and a movie deal and your favourite Yankee pig dog actor has to play you in the movie or else and you can only eat special food because of your religion and you have a sensitive stomach as well of course so it has to be organic food only because its more holy and has not been touched be man made chemical sprays and you have to have your prayer times 5 times a day so you have to get time off anything,like work or whatever and your cell has to face Mecca because you know your religious rights and you will be of course carrying on your education as well but they will have to pay for it now as you have been taken away from your dish washing job oh and the course is in Chemicals and Engineering a very prestigious job that you were learning to do on the internet so you will have to have a computer and broadband internet to carry on your studies in your cell and you will need a cell phone as well to talk to your "religious" leader because the capitalist western pig cops broke your cell phone and you cant be listened to or jammed because you are talking to your "religious" leader so its confidential and ....... Judge: Oh well you want to carry on your education very good!!! Oh your into organics....so is my wife!!! Oh your religious....good on you son!!! 1. Verdict:Minimum security tax payer pays for everything and you get everything you want. or 2.
