2009-12-20 20:38:00 Outlook Express will not open .pdf attachments in spite of Adobe reader being assigned to the files, it says no program found. If the file is saved to the desktop it opens fine. Any ideas? mcginty (10610)
2009-12-20 20:48:00 PDF probably isnt associated with OE under filetypes. Thats why PDF files dont open from within OE. But then, if you change it to OE, any PDF file you open
later, will open up in OE not Adobe reader. It's probably better to save it first anyway then open it

2009-12-20 20:54:00 In OE check tools, options, security. Allow opening of files. This is normally disallowed by default. Sweep (90)
2009-12-20 21:23:00 Sounds like an issue with the file association with PDFs. Right-click one on the desktop somewhere, select Open With -> choose Adobe Reader, ensure the "Always open this type of file with this program" or equivalent box is checked, then close & reopen OE. See if that helped, otherwise, reinstall Adobe Reader. inphinity (7274)
2009-12-20 21:49:00 Just continue saving to your hard drive, scan for viruses and open. That way you can delete the email whilst retaining the PDF file, if required. FoxyMX (5)
