733497 2008-12-30 23:18:00 Thanks guy’s, I’ve googled most of your suggestions and most of them do far more than I require.

Sooooo, having listed what I require, it might make things easier if I now list what I don’t require.

Don’t require Internet Connection.

Don’t require Videoclip facility, just good Audio and the ability to search for songs by recording name and Artist.

Radio and the ability to record directly from it would be a bonus.

And, as already mentioned the shuttle facility and ability to search for a song whilst one is playing.

That’s about it, but everything out there seems to want to play video’s. :groan:

733503 2009-01-01 02:55:00 I have got a 2gb (you can get bigger) Samsung t10 MP3 player, I love it! The sound is awesome (better then Ipod) , the video/screen is bright and beautiful (Better then Ipod =))

The only problem is the video file type, its a samsung type, (SVI) But if you convert with the samsung media center (supplied) it works well.

it has Bluetooth,
The supplied Ear phones are crisp and awesome.

733504 2009-01-06 01:19:00 Ok guys here’s the update.

I’ve had a look at all the Site’s you’ve mentioned and taken aboard your comments.

At the moment I am leaning towards a Sony NWZE436FB, mainly because it seems to have the best search functions.

Has anyone any comments on this model? :thanks

I have this model. Bought it with a case for $156 a couple of months ago :punk Sound quality is very good, ample storage, excellent LCD (can be used as a small digital photo frame), built-in radio, long lasting battery, easy user interface. But it's hard to convert video into formats that play on it. You may also want to consider a newer model which comes with bluetooth headphones.

Ahhhhhh, what’s the hang-up with the video, not that it’s terribly important?

However, the Bluetooth interests me. Do the later models have normal headphones as well as Bluetooth?
