| 734428 | 2009-01-02 22:12:00 | I'm quite fed up with some of the services here in NZ. There is only one shop which I buy online all the time and although pricespy indicates it costs $10 eextra for the DG834pn i decided to purchase from them because their service is fast and efficent. Bought a mobile off ExpertInfotech. Will never buy from them again. If possible I prefer buying from overseas You will get the crap service if you insist on shopping at the cheapest places you can find. Most of those cheap places are not run by Kiwis. |

How do you define the term 'Kiwis'? All New Zealand citizens and permanent residents are Kiwis, right? Or, ..... ????? In this incidence, I think that most of the small businesses in NZ are run/managed by Kiwis but on the other hand, most of the 'big' businesses are generally run by non-Kiwis. |

They may be NZ citizens but they weren't born here. And english is definitely not their first language! Don't get me wrong I have nothing against immigrants, I am one myself. It's just that ninjabear said he is sick of the service here in NZ and makes it sound like NZ is at fault when in actual fact most of the people running the cheap computer/parts online shops are not from NZ. In my experience anyway. |

Are you saying that ONLY those who are 1. born in NZ, AND, 2. English is their first language are considered as KIWIS? For your info, there are plenty of your so-called Kiwis don't speak (forget about write) PROPER English! I don't quite agree with your definition. What about all those (quite a huge number, I think) NZ citizens /permanent residents whose first language are not English but speak and write good and proper English - even better than those who are born in NZ with English as their mother tongue? Do you consider them as Kiwis? Here is my difinition: All NZ citizens and permanent residents, regardless of their race, colour are Kiwis, whether or not their first language is English or some other languages. |

| 734432 | 2009-01-03 00:01:00 | I thought most (if not all) lapies came with integrated graphic? My nice new Asus N50Vc has an nVidia GeForce9300m GS card (512MB). Running Vista Ultimate with 4GB RAM, it can handle anything (so far) without fault. Games run at 1024x768 and hi-detail with no noticable lag/stutter. Good as a desktop system and far better than my old Toshiba M33 Special Edition which had a 64MB integrated video card - and struggled playing anything newer than Diablo II... The Tosh has been rebuilt and passed down to my daughter - recycled... |

Kiwi is a very subjective term. I would say that anyone who has embraced the kiwi culture is a kiwi - Some people who have only been in NZ for a week could be Kiwis, and others that have been here for years could be NZ citizens, but not Kiwis. |
