733322 2008-12-29 05:43:00 Hi,

I have noticed since I have a LCD TV that with sertain movies and tv programs I can see a sort of a slow motion in people's faces and slow motion especially with dark images. (No I am not a nutter and I don't use drugs!)
The DVD player is hooked up with RCA only. Is this normal? Or should I upskill and get a new DVD player with HDMI??

Cheers

Just change your existing one to component video. This will make a big difference.

733325 2008-12-29 11:30:00 Get a component cabel from the Warehouse or DSE and plug it into the component plugs of your tv and dvd player it's way better then a rca cabel.

What brand of LCD is it ? Sounds like motion blur, which is common on cheaper
LCD sets. Changing cable, will help, But it won't get rid of the motion blur
totally. Next time go for a Plasma

733328 2008-12-31 21:32:00 I have an LCD that does the same...
It caused by the processing of composite video (they are the RCA with yellow for video, red and white [or black] for audio).
Changing the hookup from composite to component (those RCAs are coloured red green and blue for video and red and white [or black] for audio) will normally fix this problem as would changing to HDMI connector or VGA connector.
