It's become second nature for me - makes life a hell of a lot easier (except I use a Wacom tablet, so have configured one of the buttons on the pen to be "middle click"). It's useful that many other programs I use also have similar middle-click functionality.

736916 2009-01-10 08:12:00 i do sumtimes when the pages r long
its very useful when the text is small because you can easily lose the u r up to when u
scroll down. i also use the scroll wheel alot but NEVER use the slide bar at the side

736918 2009-01-10 08:21:00 Me too - I couldn't use Firefox without a wheel click on a mouse! :p

I use it to open FF links in a new tab, to close tabs and to autoscroll! Doesn't sound like much but boy does it save time!

Same.

Tho I used to use the middle click in FF on my old mouse.

736920 2009-01-10 09:03:00 It is what I normally use to close a tab window or as a mouse gesture to switch to another tab window. Renmoo (66)
736921 2009-01-10 09:50:00 Ditto - couldn't live without it. One of my gripes with Chrome is that it doesn't recognise middle-click (it may be an option, but I haven't delved deep enough to find it). MushHead (10626)

Ditto, do it heaps without even thinking about it. Pisses me off when other computers don't have it!
