736619 2009-01-09 02:07:00 I dumped all my W98 Office stuff and cannot find any way to open a . wps file . It's a contract that I need to spell-check and make sure of the form to re-send out for a buddy, but he sent the draft in . wps - SOMEHOW!

I can use my GMail account and send it as an attachment .

Thanks in advance

736623 2009-01-09 02:35:00 No worries mate. Can you open it now? wratterus (105)
736624 2009-01-09 03:06:00 Yeah..three different ways!

I got it all spell-checked and resent all ready too.

I cannot believe that he has that archaic stuff still in his puter.

It's still bundled with some laptops believe it or not.

I noticed his formatting was ... interesting. Bit of use of Ctrl + E and Ctrl + J instead of tabs and spaces would go a long way. :p

Yeah, I've gotta get him up to speed with OpenOffice and get his precious letterhead saved in a new format for him .

Actually, the setup, the way it looks anyway - is required for his license and is set that way by the State of California for design and appearance .

I just have to insert it as a form into OO and teach him how to compose his contracts there now .

If I get over this rotten headache and stiff shoulders and stuff I will get to try that tomorrow . Been down sick since Friday last .
