843237 2009-12-27 03:28:00 Are you using CDR's?? Use something like cdburnerxp, if theyre MP3's Speedy Gonzales (78)
843238 2009-12-27 03:35:00 Check what the audio conig is too, for wmp it will only play mp3 or similar or wav, unless you have the codecs. rob_on_guitar (4196)
843239 2009-12-27 03:40:00 I think he means its fine in windows. BUT, wont play on a standalone cd player. It depends WHAT version of WMP is installed. Since WMP 12 can play DVD and MP4 too natively Speedy Gonzales (78)

Should work with Vista, I've used it in Vista before. I'm using it in Win 7 x64 at the mo. Yup its here (http://cdburnerxp.se/)

What we need to know is what you are trying to rip, copy or whatever.
We also need to know what the CD/DVD standalone is capable of playing.

I don't have enough info to help yet.

For instance I can rip audio CDs and change them to MP3s then play in my car player.

I can fit around 200 mp3s on one CD in that format.

843243 2009-12-27 05:29:00 What you need to do is have a program ( like the one Speedy suggested) that will take the music on the PC, ( prob mp3 or similar) to .cda format - this is the standard format for normal CD players in a house hold stereo.
Personally I use Ashampoo burning studio - real easy to use Screenshot (www.imagef1.net.nz) - next step you navigate to the files - click next a few times - Done.

There are free versions on lots of Magazines If you want it, you can download it from Here (softbuzz.net) - I can PM with the legal free key ( if you want) - you just need to untick a few things you may not want (quick links etc).

843244 2009-12-27 05:45:00 Like mentioned, what media are you burning? Specifically the type? rob_on_guitar (4196)
843245 2009-12-27 06:01:00 Also if you don't close the burn it is very unlikely to play in a stand alone player.

Do not use a multisession burn.
