735838 2009-01-08 06:51:00 I rekon if it over a post count, say 20. Ive seen spammers in the morning do an easy 10. rob_on_guitar (4196)
735839 2009-01-08 07:16:00 I like the idea of images as long as its not completely abused by some.

I agree with Rob about 20 posts would be a more reasonable amount.

P.S. How much spam do you mods actually end up dealing with typically?

735840 2009-01-08 07:30:00 Just tried that again while logged off, and this time it allowed you to view the thumbnail images in a new window/tab. :illogical

Going back to kiwibiker (they use the same software I believe) when you click a thumbnail it opens in a frame, when you click the frame/picture it opens in a new tab/window

And over there you can't view the file attachments when not logged in, I even linked directly to one a few months ago and no one here could see it.....so it must be doable.

735841 2009-01-08 07:56:00 P.S. How much spam do you mods actually end up dealing with typically? It varies, we can go days with none reported and other days we get a run. I would say the far majority are 1-2 post wonders, with the odd one going on a post frenzy. 28 spam posts by a single user in a very short time is the current record.

I do a bit of preventative maintenance in the background and knock off newly registered, obvious wannabe spammers before they can return to post.

735845 2009-01-08 17:50:00 A point of information for pcuser7895.

It also has a blocker in it, where if it sees that your script is unpunctuated or text styled, it denies the action. ;)

735847 2009-01-09 05:26:00 Does the way it goes on another site I use NOT require any server space?

Here's how it's done:

[ img ] lh3.ggpht.com [ /img ]

I had to put spaces in the code there to make it visible.
