| 842631 | 2009-12-27 08:46:00 | Ok had me confused for a moment there... as the website had $SystemUpdate_ Fall09_8955.zip as the update. Yeah I can create an Avatar... only brought the XBox a month and a bit ago... so i don't really know any better. Sorry. I'm wondering if I should start over, it that possible? Frustrating. Maybe delete my Profile and put it back in again. |

| 842634 | 2010-01-12 23:59:00 | In case you're still trying to get Kodu running, I saw that a PC technical preview version has just been released so I thought I'd mention it here. The download is at: fuse.microsoft.com I'm going to try it out tonight. :) cheers W |

| 842635 | 2010-01-27 01:55:00 | Thanks for the Air Legends game pimpage Waldok . :) Waldok is correct, the Indie games channel/marketplace (formerly named Community Games) is currently only visible in certain regions . Last time I looked it was: USA, UK, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Singapore . Microsoft have always said they will expand to other regions, over time . They seem to be playing things ultra safe, because Indie games are not officially Rated . So i guess they're carefully lobbying governments, and their respective censorship organisations to get it through . You can easily see the Indie games channel in New Zealand by signing-in to the dashboard using a GamerTag that is associated with one of the above allowed countries . To do this: create another Live account, but you MUST set the address to one of these countries . A USA address for instance . then on the Dashboard you create a GamerTag and associate it with that LIVE account . Then you should see the Dashboard in all it's glory, alot more content, and the Indie Games channel under the games marketplace . You'll be able to freely Trial these games (all 700+ of them), but to purchase you would need to use MS points purchased for the country of your LIVE account . Points purchased in New Zealand wont be accepted . I believe there are websites around that let you purchase foreign MS Points, but I never have . The indie games channel is really maturing now . Some awesome games out there . Alot of rubbish too - but you could say the same thing about Youtube or the iphone App Store too . Hope this helps . Lawrence Air Legends ( . bluecog . co . nz/?page_id=244" target="_blank">sharky . bluecog . co . nz) Hi Myke, it's called Community Games officially, you're right that there's a whole channel of indie games but it's only available for people to play in the US, Canada, UK and a few countries in Europe . I think it's possible to develop from NZ and publish overseas, according to this site: . xna . com/en-US/newregionsfordevelopment" target="_blank">creators . xna . com There's a cool game made in NZ too! http://sharky . bluecog . co . nz/ The main development tool for it is the free XNA Game Studio add-on which works with Visual Studio, both the free and paid versions . There's a whole website about it that should have heaps more info: . xna . com/en-US/" target="_blank">creators . xna . com cheers W |
