:)

Just bought one a couple of days ago for $A118 on special. So far can't fault it.

If you're having battery trouble Metla try Sanyo Eneloop, they're a bit dearer but best by miles.

736815 2009-01-10 10:37:00 Looks perfect, The fact she can pick a colour should seal the deal.

Cheers.

Well if your kids hadn't been attacking me I'd have whipped it out for a quick pic. :D Have they got those handstands perfected yet?? Only afterwards I realised yours was the one place I didn't get a pic of the people I visited.

736817 2009-01-10 16:57:00 Bought the wife a camera a year ago, it doesn't suit so I'm looking to get her a new one. (selling the current one for $70 if anyone is interested, been used about twice, its a pink Samsung S630, 6mp)

Whats wrong with the Samsung? I'm curious because two of my friends have the S630's, no problems except that they had to use Eneloop AA's (normal AA rechargeables did not last).

The only recommendation I can give is for the Canon IXUS, but its probably over your budget.

736818 2009-01-10 19:28:00 I wouldn't touch a camera that doesn't take AA's as I spend a fair amount of time in the back blocks and want to be able to swap out batteries from my other devices if I need to like my head torch or my gps there's a lot to be said for having all your devices take the same batty gary67 (56)
736819 2009-01-10 20:28:00 The problem with AA's is unless we managed to get a set that cost 20 odd dollars they ran out within a dozen photo's, the death-knell was when the batteries died halfway though singing the boy happy birthday, didn't even get to the blowing out of the candles.

In comparison both my cameras that run on an inbuilt Li-po battery go for months at a time without needing a charge and can quite easily take a couple hundred shots with no indicated battery run down.

736820 2009-01-10 20:29:00 I usually get between 300-400 shots on my fuji between battery charges and it's not a small camera gary67 (56)
