736353 2009-01-11 09:56:00 Downloaded Win7 today. No problems at all; installed it on a separate partition on my Vista laptop.
So far, it looks good.

736354 2009-01-11 10:37:00 Mines installed. However, I need to have the DVD inserted into the optical drive before it will boot. Weird. bob_doe_nz (92)

736356 2009-01-11 19:11:00 It will be interesting once W7 goes to RTM and is available to see if the scramble to get the Beta is just people being curious or what.

Interestingly Yesterday I had a Vista PC and W7 working side by side - installing the same programs - if it wasn't for the fact W7 was beta I wouldn't have used Vista, it was causing many problems where as W7 every thing went smooth as silk.:groan:

736357 2009-01-11 19:13:00 I get a lower performance score for some hardware and a higher score for some under Windows 7 than Vista - save the hard drive (with 3.0) - 7 is on an IDE drive. :D pcuser42 (130)

736360 2009-01-11 21:23:00 Sounds like you're using plain Firefox to download. That's a feature of Firefox 3. ;)

BTW have you heard of the edit button? :)

EDIT: This?
