736316 2009-01-10 08:24:00 Nope - Virtual PC emulates a 8MB graphics card (www.imagef1.net.nz)!

Future versions will apparently allow VMs to use more graphics memory though.

does that graphics card come from the RAM?

736317 2009-01-10 08:26:00 Think so. Not sure though. jwil1 (65)
736318 2009-01-10 08:29:00 I know what Aero is!!! its graphics effects right? pcuser7895 (12979)
736319 2009-01-10 08:29:00 i would of asked ages ago if i didn't know pcuser7895 (12979)
736320 2009-01-10 08:30:00 Yup :)

Aero requires ( I think) 128MB of graphics memory and 1GB system memory to function. That's why it never works in Virtual PC, regardless of how much system memory you give it :)

736321 2009-01-10 08:32:00 is there any way to allow virtual pc 07 like 150MB of V RAM? pcuser7895 (12979)
736322 2009-01-10 08:34:00 I *think* future versions of VMWare Workstation are going to allow the user to set a custom amount of graphics memory to assign to a VM. VMWare's not free though :(

Not sure about VPC.
