| 737009 | 2009-01-10 09:35:00 | OK - What I am wondering is - Is Warehouse Just potting mix any good, or would I be advised to buy a more expensive brand such as Thrive or Yates? Thanks |

| 737010 | 2009-01-10 09:48:00 | What is the price difference? Just buy some of the Warehouse stuff and see what it's like... sorry don't know much about gardening I'd be inclined to buy the reputable brand though :p |

| 737013 | 2009-01-10 10:13:00 | I have loads of pot plants, and every now and again I have to move one to a bigger pot, so I need some potting mix on hand for that. One thing that I can recommend people try - is to buy plants like conifers which normally grow quite tall, and keep them potted in a bucket. I have quite an attractive selection out the back. But they will eventually die of course, but they last a few years first. |

| 737014 | 2009-01-10 10:28:00 | I've used the cheaper brands sometimes, depends on what I am growing. If you are growing things outdoors then you often need something more substantial than the type used for indoor plants. I think there are brands that state it is for indoor/outdoor use, or something like that. I often mix ordinary garden soil with mine if it is for outdoors. You probably already know this, but do not lean over the bag of the potting mix and inhale, specially when opening. It can cause bacterial diseases if inhaled. Also wash hands thoroughly after, if you handle it with bare hands. |
