| 1447848 | 2018-03-29 19:30:00 | Thoughts please. I have been offered a near new copper hot water cyclinder for our new build starting soonish. Its made in 2007 but came out of an earthquake damaged house, been doing some research online and it appears copper is far better than stainless. It si 1900L and would also come with a pump for running a radiator, we will be installing a wet back far rural model so hot water isn't going to be a problem. Just wondering if it is worth considering for $400. Thanks |

Husband had done a couple of times, and then ever after refused to install second hand cylinders - because the minute you move them, it can cause leaks. Earthquake? I wouldn't. All the effort to install it and then, if it leaks, you've wasted all that time (and money if someone else put it in). Better to get a new one. |

I understand cutting cost but that seem rather tight/stingy. Surely you have still good contacts within the industry to get a good deal. | plod (107) | ||
