| 1447637 | 2018-03-24 06:02:00 | Hi My computer has two address books. One in xtra & the other in outlook.com. The old address book, in xtra, was mostly dead addresses. I prited a copy of them & then deleted them all. I spent ages putting in the ones I wanted only to find they were in outlook, should have been in xtra. I heave tried to change the list header to xtra but could not. I dont really want to delete all 15 of them & redo them. How can I shift them to xtra from outlook. Thanks. PJ |

| 1447638 | 2018-03-24 06:36:00 | You are describing (possibly) two different items. 1. Xtra is only the provider of your internet, which also has its own email services. 2. Outlook -- Can be either Outlook.com ( web based) or an installed version on Outlook ( included in Office). You can use Outlook.com (email) via the app as your email client on the computer as well as web based. Meaning if you are using outlook.com web based as your xtra account they are the same thing. If you have the Outlook Program, and xtra within Outlook as your email address then they are the same thing, no need to change anything. So the question being are you using the email app or the program Outlook. MS made one hell of a stuff up calling two different things (the Mail App and program) the same thing originally, the app alone is now called Mail. |

My own xtra account is also Xtra, which is AAAA.BBBB@xtra.co.nz This is the address that I want as my main email address. but. When I click on New email my address "from " shows as MS office Outlook.co. I want xtra to be my default address. Unfortuneatly & put the addresses into outlook & wont appear in xtra. I dont have aan arrow down to give me a choice of who I am sending from. Does that make sense. Basically I want the address book in xtra not outlook. PJ | Poppa John (284) | ||
| 1447640 | 2018-03-25 05:15:00 | When you say you have The outlook is MS Office mail.------------- I dont have an arrow down to give me a choice of who I am sending from Is this the mail program in Office, Eg: office 2016 (along with Word, Excel, Power Point etc) ? If it is, and you don't have the option to click the drop down box to select an account then you first have to add it to Outlook. Once its there you will have options to select how ever many accounts you have entered, Mine for example (which is Office 365/2016) has 4 different accounts entered. If its Outlook.com (win10 mail app) You can have xtra as an email. If you have other accounts they will all be listed on the left hand side ( see picture below) To send from a particular account you click on the account you want ( in your case xtra) then new Mail - it will automatically enter the "From" to which ever account you selected. 8741 You can put contacts from program to program. BUT before going to far, please confirm if you are actually using the Office program NOT the win10 mail app ( as pictured above), AND have both Xtra and Outlook.com accounts entered. |
