1447599 2018-03-23 20:03:00 I have seen a few articles that are saying that Bitcoin mining is pushing the price of graphics cards by 100%

And that it using huge amounts of electricity in some towns.

And prices are up.

1447603 2018-03-24 04:23:00 Apparently Samsung is responsible for dedicating huge resources towards mining. Can't imagine why they're diverting from their core model of business. Greg (193)
1447604 2018-03-26 08:03:00 It's been an issue for at least a year now. Just wait though and there will be a flood of second hand cards on the market as it gets less profitable for hobby miners.
There is a myth (well there is some truth to it) that cards that have been used for mining are potentially damaged from running at 100% for many hours but in reality any reduction in expected life span is irrelevant as the hardware will most likely be outdated before it dies.
