| 1447424 | 2018-03-18 08:22:00 | I recently fixed my tinny 5 inch C clamp by drilling two holes and bolting 2x M6 x 30 mm bolts with two small plates, after grinding, cutting. the plates. Need a drill press though. OK simple... But found a YT video of a bloke making massive metal (steel I think) C clamps using big tools - bench steel saw, angle grinder, drum/wheel grinder, belt sander (I think) and a high speed "Tig Pulse" Welder. Might interest those that do welding. Anyone made any metal jigs or rigs in a workshop? Vid Here... (www.youtube.com) (about 11.14 secs, then 11.26 secs where he explains his Tig Welder). Looks and sounds kinda cool..though must be extremely hot... |
