LOL Or foam rubber! :D

1447662 2018-03-28 00:57:00 Many Kiwi's - particularly young step girls (two South Island cases come to my mind) have been stabbed to death. Also I seen people lose finger tips when slicing - including me. Why don't butchers and supermarkets sell meats pre- sliced? kahawai chaser (3545)

I'm struggling to work out if you're taking the piss, or you mean what you say. People who can't control a knife beyond the occasional slip should not be permitted to eat flesh. They can be vegans instead.
And listen to Ed Sheeran.

1447665 2018-03-29 03:40:00 I just about took a finger off when cutting a pumpkin while working in a greengrocers shop when I was a teen.

And I am not a vegan. Do you think I was being got at by the pumpkin?

Ken :)

Not if you do it at night wearing dark clothing. :)

1447669 2018-03-31 04:49:00 Dangerous having a sharp knife. I worked with them cutting corrugated boards and boning meat in meat plant in Hamilton. I don't sharpen our knives "sharp" at home.

I would invest in a flexible part steel/braided meshed glove(s) is what I'm saying...

Having a less-than-sharp knife is more dangerous - but I understand your reasoning.....

If you have a not-so-sharp knife - you press or swing a lot harder to get it to do the work and that sets you up for a blade slipping and although it is dull - it WILL still cut hands, arms, legs, necks, carotids, etc.

Ask a chef for sure - a dull knife is much more dangerous than a sharp one.

Read to warning about dull Exacto knives too. They state - and not just to sell new blades - that a dull or re-sharpened knife is dangerous - more so than a new surgically sharp blade that cuts effortlessly.

I keep all my wood working tools so sharp that I could conceivably shave with them - but that's in the movies. When cutting edges are dull, it taxes the motors and geartrain a lot more - plus I have burned out a motor or two with dull twist drills and burned up a few router bits.

Keep 'em sharp for less damage to you and your loved ones.
