1447055 2018-03-07 02:51:00 I reckon the whole thing is a bit of a waste of time. The questions are pretty specific and silly, and slightly too personal. wratterus (105)
1447056 2018-03-07 03:35:00 Cant remember the exact wording, but it was something along the lines of "is there a reason you cant fill in the census".

Several Options,(one Something like) under 2 years old and cant read ?

1447058 2018-03-08 02:24:00 Just lovely. As expected, govt stuffs up online security

"A Christchurch man claims he could see and potentially edit someone else's personal details, during a mix up with access codes to the online census."

What about it was too personal? Good data is crucial for any sort of research or planning.

1447060 2018-03-08 21:01:00 TBH I can't even remember now - nothing that bothered me but I could see some people not wanting to fill it out correctly with some of the income/employer questions. wratterus (105)
1447061 2018-03-09 00:02:00 What I would like to know is what worthwhile information about you the Census gives them that can not already be found courtesy of another Government Department?

I mean take Births-Deaths & Marriages – IRD – Social Welfare – various Licensing Authority’s – Rate Roll – Electoral Roll – Police – Immigration – Boarder Patrol – Passports – the list goes on.

And if you can’t be found on any of the above, I’ll bet you won’t be filling in the Census either. ;)

1447062 2018-03-09 03:52:00 Census access code FINALLY arrived today (Friday). I'm not sure if it was the original one, or the one I requested on Friday last week after suspecting mine had got lost in the mail.

Pretty straightforward I thought. Interesting in the question about income there was no mention about Kiwisaver, and nothing mentioned in the help section of that question. I rang the helpline to ask which category they'd put Kiwisaver under and the operator didn't know. I assume it just falls under both wages and interest.
