New York City has it's own Sullivan Act that basically makes it illegal to own a concealable weapon. California is so messed up that illegal aliens are allowed to pretty much do what they want, while the law abiding citizens cannot get permits to CCW, OC or even buy ammunition. California also limits magazine capacity.... in the case of my Glock, 10 rounds. Connecticut is another tough state in which to own a handgun while a shotgun is somewhat legal..... on a case-by-case consideration. CCW is not typically allowed except for off-bench or retired officers of the court. As I believe I know, Arizona is pretty good as is Texas, most of the state's below the Mason-Dixon Line, MaIne, Idaho, Nebraska, Utah..... in that they a fairly sparsely populated and are in a need to own condition. States as unpopulated as Montana is.... and where availability of law enforcement is spotty to say the least.... have the need for self protection until the arrival of a police officer. Montana's own Highway Patrol officers have enforcement "beats" of thousands of square miles and must drive hundreds of miles to answer a call in some instances. Add snow or blizzards, herds of wild animals not obeying crosswalk rules..... and timely assistance is seriously impeded. Montana is also Open Grazing.... where cattle have the right of way in all instances. Hit a cow, and you pay. Then there's the need of a finishing piece, so one can dispatch a wounded, dying deer, elk, moose, bear, eagle or whatever you hit with your vehicle. Montana recently opened the citizen to taking of any animal you hit, as food for yourself ....... when the last iteration of law allowed only state authorities to take road kill for state institutions (jails, homeless facilities and schools, etc). usa gun law is really messed up. its only 2nd in amount of legislation only to tax laws. yet it has big holes allowing anyone to buy guns and each little place can have its own rules. what a mess. |

Good job. I think if I was living in USA, and went hiking or fishing I would carry a gun or two. I mean many USA TV shows, from wild western days to present (e.g.TV Bonanza to Criminal Minds), seem to have baddies/bandits shooting at hikers/fisherman. |

| 1447184 | 2018-03-11 01:13:00 | I like the Montana attitude . California has criminals shooting at the citizens, yet in Arizona (where I also lived) . . . the little old lady driving in the Buick Century with the never ending left turn signal possibly has a Smith & Wesson . 44 on her lap . Nobody even blows their horns at each other Montana driver's leave their engines running, keys in the ignition keeping the heater going so when they return from shopping downtown, their car is waiting for them . We leave the keys in our cars all the time and our doors unlocked too . In California . . . as you're exiting your car, leaving the engine running . . . . . a stoned stupid dope addict pushes you outta the way to get into the driver's seat while waving a full-auto Mac-10 at your face . California homes have steel bars on their windows and pry-proof doors . Respect for law and order seems to stem from respect for people who might be able to meet your criminal intent with greater force . It makes for a more courteous citizenry . California gun laws are draconian and crime is rife . Montana gun laws are logically more permissive . . . . . and yet crime is neglegable . . . . except up near the university . . . . where out of state sport scholarships are given to LA and NYC inner-city kids in the Interstate College Drafts looking for potential football and baseball jocks . Arizona has decent gun laws . . . . although the touchy-feely left wingers are making inroads (NZ read: "Socialists" and "Communists") as the Californicationeers "Californicate" by migrating there, dragging their criminal lifestyles with them . Texas is as wide open as Montana . . . . wide open-er, actually . Oregon has slammed the gates shut on Californicateers because Oregon has enough pink-os already . That's their story, not mine . I would never intentionally move to either Oregon nor Washington (neither the State nor the District of Columbia version . . . . . ) Yea . . . . the State by State laws are rather patchwork, but they represent the citizen's request for enforcement as they are deemed necessary too . Where police are rare, the citizens take the reins and provide security until the law arrives . Alaska is that way too . Children are born with a pistol in their crib . Where guns are outlawed . . . . . only the outlaws have guns . Even Britain's Bobbys are packing now . . . . . or soon will be so . |

Won't it be risky for those parking/living ( . topic . com/life-inside-the-rvs-of-silicon-valley" target="_blank">www . topic . com) (article I read a while back) along along the El Camino Real in Palo Alto? Unless criminals don't travel that road . So no need sleep with a loaded gun? Did not realize you can swap out barrels with the glock as seen in this YT vid . ( . youtube . com/watch?v=LXS27EqN7zM" target="_blank">www . youtube . com) Also can screw on a socket type compensator? Interesting how the barrels have different spiral/poly styled patters, but I can"t see (has view comparing the bore patterns) - or understand how it helps a bullet shoot out . Though one guy said a certain barrel is ideally required for "make your own" cast lead bullets . . . |

| 1447186 | 2018-03-11 03:17:00 | Whilst discussing Gun Laws: We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. How does that work? And isnt it odd that if you shoot a person youre a Murderer, but if you shoot a thousand youre a Conqueror? |

Though one guy said a certain barrel is ideally required for "make your own" cast lead bullets... different weight/length bullets require a certain twist rate. most will work with standard but odd ones need special rates. also certain types of rifling don't work well with cast bullets. with glocks there is a huge range of aftermarket parts. so you can personalize them a fair bit and set it up for your specific needs. |

| 1447189 | 2018-03-11 04:45:00 | I also got my CCW Permit - in that I can "Carry-Concealed-Weapon" when I want to . ? My mum hates animals too . Funny that . The JW religion goes on about" Gods Original Purpose Many have been thrilled by the evidence that Gods original purpose for humans to live forever on a paradise earth and to take care of all its animals will eventually be fulfilled . In Jehovahs new world, people will be able to touch the furry mane of a lion, to stroke the striped coat of a tiger Indeed, wild animals will then be in submission ! The Bible says: The wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them . The scripture continues: The cow and the bear themselves will feed; together their young ones will lie down . And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull . Isaiah 11:6-9 . In Jehovahs new world, there will not be the problem of people being crowded together in large cities that are inhospitable to both them and their pets . But just think of the marvelous prospect of enjoying animal pets forever in a righteous new world! The loving care given them will truly honor the Grand Creator of all living things . If you have not learned about Gods wonderful purposes we warmly invite you to contact the publishers of this magazine or one of Jehovahs Witnesses, who will be glad to help you to learn about them . In Gods new world, animals will be enjoyed forever So . . . . how come it's OK to slaughter them now then? Suddenly, after, nope . |
