844067 2009-12-29 11:03:00 Hi there, I realise it's my first post, just need a little help confirming that these parts are not a rip off, and are adequate for my needs.

To cut a long story short, I got my four and half thousand dollar laptop stolen at the beginning of '09, and I'm about to study Audio engineering next year- so obviously I need a computer that handles complex audio and enables me to surf, listen to music, and produce music. I also game when time provides, however in the interest of study coming first, I have decided to forego the graphics card for the moment, and purchase it when I have additional funds. I have also decided to purchase the soundcard at a later date. Forgive me if I seem particularly out of touch, over a year ago I was quite up-to-date with computer hardware, but have fallen somewhat under the radar recently. This is the system I have researched and spec'd up.

Am looking at a total of $1030.00 or there abouts.
A few questions;
Does the mobo have onboard video that I can use while I go 'GFX cardless'? Will that powersupply be adequate for a decent GFX card in the future?

Thanks in advance people!
Luke

No it doesn't. Click on the board and scroll down to it's specifications - it tells you.

I personally would put a Corsair PSU in it. And it all depends on what graphics card you intend to get as to what sort of watts you will need.

Probably better to get a case and seperate PSU then? Am looking at a $250-300 range GFX card, 500w PSU should be enough right?
