| 843754 | 2009-12-27 22:18:00 | On Asus mobos it's called Q-fan (is built-in), and needs to be enabled in Bios to work. I dont know about others, have only used Asus :), would be similar I would think. |

| 843757 | 2009-12-27 22:27:00 | The problem that I am experiencing now: Attached file: hot.jpg (www.imagef1.net.nz) (51 KB) As you can see, I don't think the fan is running fast enough to dissipate the heat. |

| 843758 | 2009-12-27 22:31:00 | The latest version of the BIOS fixes the fan BIOS 708 Fix that the fan will slow down after 5 or 10 minutes which will easily cause HW overheating. What BIOS is on it? I would update the BIOS. |

| 843760 | 2009-12-27 22:48:00 | Does it have an option to boot from flash drives in the BIOS?? Altho I cant see any mention of afudos (the program you flash it with), on the ASUS site. So I dont think you can do that You may have to use ASUS liveupdate, install it then load the extracted rom file into it. DON'T let it search for the BIOS update, then update it, it may freeze, then it'll be dead. And dont use wireless (if the laptop has it), use wired to update it just in case |
