738627 2009-01-18 14:11:00 Hey you cut the Indo bit and have totally misconstrued my post.
Indo Malay is a race of people from SE Asia. Malaysian is from Malaysia which is federation of states in Peninsula Malaya and Western Borneo, and could be any race.
They all have one thing in common they all like to talk constantly about money. I am married to Asian and thats all her my outlaws talk about. A European kiwi meanwhile talks rugby, fishing and good parties how pissed he got and where he picked up a good root.

Yes thats quite true and there are those that think money isn't everything

My dad said to me no point having so much money as you can't carry it with you when you die.Money is just bits of paper.Meaningless.

However my Ex GF said to me without money you'll die .

It also depends on how you brought up by your parents and what happened in the past when you were a child.

I certainly don't like the mainland chinese as they are quite money thirsty like.Guess its normal because before communism the whole entire dynasties were all money hungry, greedy officials! There were a few good ones but they didn't live long

738628 2009-01-18 19:01:00 I agree the mainland communist chinese people here are very pushy and loud compared to chinese from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia who are courteous.
I think the govt shouldnt let any more commy chinese in.
The guy who wanted to charge the family would be deported if I was el presidente of NZ.

I have to disgree with your above views. Chinese from Taiwan and Hongkong are as noisy (loud speaking in restaurants, etc) as those Chinese from mainland China. However, I have to agree that 'some' Chinese from other places like Singapore or some other places are 'slightly' less 'noisy'. In general, Chinese are the 'noisy' people, from the time they are born to the time they are gone (funerals) they make lots and lots of noises - it's in their blood! To conclude, it doesn't really matter where you are from as long as you are a Chinese! A Chinese is a Chinese, nobody can change that, not even God!

As regards your suggestion that the govt should not let in more communist Chinese into NZ, I think you are still living in the 'COLD-WAR' era. I do not wish to discuss about this political issue here though.

Thats probably because the restaurants aren't formal and usually anyone can go in and have something to eat.Its called socialising.

If you go to a more format restaurants in china or hong kong it will be quiet

I actually find some europeans pretty noisy.I remember one time the manager at the hostel yelled out at a guy for turning his stereo up real high.

Personally I have no idea why some europeans like to turn their music right up to the point that it rocks the entire house.I hope they become death because of it

Oooh....good point. Not every Europeans, usually the younger ones but also the weird ones. I like my music somewhat loud, but not so loud as to make the damn house vibrate.

I have a neighbour whose teenage daughter likes to listen to music on her car stereo. Damn woman makes sure her car becomes a boombox and plays her music so loud my dog barks at her when he had had enough.

I like getting drunk and putting on some Bruce Springsteen or Fleetwood Mack full noise.
