738617	2009-01-16 05:31:00	As an asian I can tell the difference in their race just by seeing how they dress and what they look like I dont think many people who are kiwis can spot the difference between japanese,korean,malaysian,singaporian,chinese, It is a lot more difficult for us, but if you deal with them enough, you can tell them apart. I still have a lot of trouble, but I am talking to an Asian, I can usually tell if they are Japanese or Chinese. The others I can usually tell they aren't one of those 2 but I can't tell where they are from.	Greven (91)

Chinese are the easiest to spot but there is a difference between mainland chinese and hong kong chinese Mainland Chinese usually wear dull,dark clothing.lol Japanese,korean,Hong kong in the other hand usually are very fashion like and are pretty good at fashion however I would say some people from GuanZhou/Canton area especially girls tend to wear pretty smart clothing.I know a girl whos from canton who is pretty hot haha! But back in topic.I think only NZ people would care for the family and waive the fee.I don't think it would give bad rep to someone say from USA. For me personally even if the person isn't I would probably give the family a year to pay up the $2000NZ .I certainly wouldn't waive it It's like selling on trademe.You are there to earn money not earn positive feedbacks otherwise you'll get pushed over and people taking advantage of you Competitive countries tend to side the rental company while the lay back relaxing country will argue the fact the fee should be waived	Ninjabear (2948)
738622	2009-01-16 09:28:00	Singaporean isn't a race. The place was a swamp until an Englishman set the joint up. Chinese, Indian and Indo Malaysians then came. Easy to spot the diff between the South East Asians. As far as the hire car agency charging to shift the car. I think they are filthy scum sucking low life. I run a business and would rather go bust than do something like that. As far as TM goes I have over 100 transactions a 100% feed back I dont get pushed around and I dont buy anything unless feedback on person is pretty close to 100%. 738623	2009-01-16 09:43:00	It's like selling on trademe.You are there to earn money not earn positive feedbacks otherwise you'll get pushed over and people taking advantage of you If I buy/sell something and the buyer/seller doesn't pay/send the goods because he/she legitimately died then I don't think I would pursue the trade (unless it was a very large sum or an item of high value, but even then there's not much I think I could/would do)	--Wolf-- (128)
738624	2009-01-18 06:59:00	.. Malaysians then came. All those races who are Malaysia citizens are called Malaysians. There are 3 main races in Malaysia - Malays, Chinese and Indians. It is quite difficult to differentiate (or even impossible) a Malaysian Chinese and a Singaporean Chinese by their looks. But Malaysian Chinese do have quite different accents from their Singaporean Chinese, though. I would say that all Chinese, regardless of where they live, do look pretty the same but their accents can be quite different. One can't tell the difference (from their looks) between a American Chinese from a Kiwi Chinese or any other Chinese. Similarly, an Indian from India looks the same as an Indian from Malaysia or Singapore, or even NZ.	bk T (215)
738625	2009-01-18 10:37:00	Hey you cut the Indo bit and have totally misconstrued my post. Indo Malay is a race of people from SE Asia. Malaysian is from Malaysia which is federation of states in Peninsula Malaya and Western Borneo, and could be any race. They all have one thing in common they all like to talk constantly about money. I am married to Asian and thats all her my outlaws talk about. A European kiwi meanwhile talks rugby, fishing and good parties how pissed he got and where he picked up a good root.	prefect (6291)
738626	2009-01-18 14:02:00	Well I've just read all this thread and wondered whether to bother participating as some parts are only just short of ugly, but... Unless there are facts I'm unaware of, I think those of you who think the family that come from Aus should pay have missed a rather large point! 'They' didn't hire the vehicle and therefore shouldn't have to pay. How would you feel if for instance it wasn't family members but best friends that had died and you came over to collect the bodies and the hire company hit you up for it's costs. I think you would rightly direct the hire company to the glaciers ice face and tell him to seek his cost from the hirer when he's thawed. Being family shouldn't have anything to do with it. It's tough on the company but thats the business he's in, occasionally tourists will do a runner. At least the tourist that owes him is still in the country! ;-/ To the poster who believes that we are all just people so just open the gates to all [The implication being, that we all have the same values and way of thinking ] should really travel more. That simplistic view that surely everyone thinks like us is one reason some Americans cause so much angst in the world. Of course one in particular wont be causing so much soon!	Robinz (9362)
