The area in question is absolutely steeped in history which cannot be ignored when looking at any conflicts associated with the area in question . It has had more than it's fair share of conflicts over the past 3500 years and more than it's fair share of occupiers . The point is that there is so much history and persecution associated with this area that there is almost no hope for any world leader(s) to contrive a long-lasting and meaningful peace, especially whilst people feel they have been wronged . It isn't really a question of who is happening to be getting a 'bad press' at any particular time, though it could be deduced perhaps that people and the media are beginning to see through the ongoing propaganda. The enormous tome "The Great War For Civilisation, The Conquest of The Middle East" (1368 pages in paper back) by Robert Fisk details the subtle and not so subtle propaganda methods used by both sides to twist the 'truth' to suit their particular agendas. You say the Jews have a good propaganda machine,I have yet to see a good word about them.Just endless marches in favour of the Arabs. Shooting rockets over the fence is done to get a response, they got what they asked for....and are probably more then happy with the result. Its just a game, a game where people die. I am being Ernest:) when I say,that it is not a question of why we take side,the fact that is the tendency of most of us,same as a football game,or tennis etc. Some like Met can see the bigger overall picture and condemn the lot,but this is not available to the rest of us.
