On all three reinstalls the problems started when I tried to run Auto update. The last install I went directly from reinstall to SP1 then SP2. Up until that time the BB connection was fine. I then setup the AV and Firewall and loaded email program. still good. Once I had those setup I then told it to download updates. That is when the problems started along with the frozen updating. If I recall correctly the same sequence occurred on the other two times. |

Used System Restore and took the system back to the point where SP1 and SP2 had finished installing.(before installing anything else) BB connection present and stable. System is presently downloading (succesfully) updates. So will not touch anything. From here I previously installed Comodo and MS essentials. Bit scared to do the same now. Maybe comodo is problem??? |
