| 738242 | 2009-01-30 00:03:00 | I recently purchased two 4 GB flash drives from P B Technologies near BBQ factory in Auckland. Took them home and both dont work. All other makes of flash drives work no trouble. So I emailed them early this week and they still dont have the decency to reply. But when I had a problem with a keyboard from I Focus they replied within the day and advised procedure to getting it replaced which was good. Pity a few others dont take a leaf out of their book. Oh by the way the flash drives work ok using Linux. Anyone else having problem with PB Technologies.? pressf1.pcworld.co.nz |

I always ask people coming in if they want any help, if not then I leave them be. If so we have comfy chairs for them to sit on while discussing their needs. Advice is free - even if they don't want to buy here. Diagnosis is free. Quotes are free. Minor repairs taking less than 5 minutes are free. I shall be complaing to Rob 99,his chairs are hard.! |

After I look around and find something then I'll look for a sales droid thanx.. Yeah I get sick of that too. When will they realise how annoying this is, especially to blokes? Puts me right off shopping. After a couple of shops, I've had enough. And then when you DO want some help, all the sales droids scarper. And if you do manage to find one, 9 times out of 10 they don't know anything technical whatsoever. |

| 738247 | 2009-01-30 10:08:00 | The thing I find annoying about retailers is that half of the time they don't even know what they sell! I went to DSE to get a power cable for my PSU (PSU to power outlet) and he tried to sell me an AC adapter for a CD player! And another time I need a jumper shunt for a hdd and he spent about 10 minutes looking for them and even asked the manager (well I'm guessing there) and he didn't know what it was. I ended up having to find it myself. -___- | Netsukeninja (13296) | ||
| 738248 | 2009-01-30 10:43:00 | I have found out in business if you look after customer who wants something that is minor and you sort it out for free bigger things can eventuate. We get people coming into the workshop for a bolt, weld up a crack, press out a bearing, ask for advice and we just do it for them. These people put the word out you are friendly and you get can get big jobs from it. Its a karma thing I quite like to see the expression on people faces when you say dont worry about it its not worth the paper work. If the Buddhists are right about reincarnation then some retailers are going to be severely buggered in their next life. |

| 738249 | 2009-01-30 18:16:00 | Mrs and miss wotz were were in a shop recently and miss wotz was looking at digital cameras. The sales person said to ask if they needed help. Stopping there would have been OK but she then proceeded to say the cameras have lots of confusing terms. I think the look she got from mrs wotz told her she made a mistake. We have had a digital camera since 2000. Mrs wotz was told a few years ago she might have trouble working out the new electronic washing machine. I agree about the judgements made by sales people. If I go looking at lunch time in my work clothes they are all over me. Not just one - all of them. On Saturday they don't want to know me. |

Virtually all salespeople have been very helpful and none at all pushy. Today in one store the saleswoman was even quite happy to discuss their competition's product in a completely neutral manner, offering the facts and listing the comparisons with no negativity or trying to influence our decision whatsoever. Because of that she made a good sale. |
