843642 2009-12-28 19:12:00 Ok got it set up but still dropping BB occasionally.
Thought about setting the IP address manually. Type IPCONFIG but the black screen flashes biefly and disappears

Also Windows Update is frozen on 16 %.
This "freeze" seems to have slowed everything down.
Can't reset it or get rid of it as it tries to download every time I turn the machine on.
This hapened on the previous 2 installs as well.

843643 2009-12-28 19:33:00 The command prompt is probably disappearing because youre typing ipconfig from start/run. Go to accessories and run the command prompt (right mouse on it) run as admin. Then it'll stay there. Its the ips under the LAN properties / IPv4 that you have to make sure (arent the same). What have you put in under yours for the gateway and the DNS server ips?? Are you trying to update with wireless?? If you are, I wouldnt. Thats probably why its freezing. Connect a cable Speedy Gonzales (78)

Currently set to obtian address automaticaly
Not downloading through wireless. Working directly to the modem, bypassing wireless completely

843645 2009-12-28 19:52:00 Well if it can get online. I can check it from here with teamviewer if you want. But you'll have to get teamviewer, then send the ID and password to me in a PM. So I can log in Speedy Gonzales (78)

Tried it from Start/Run and black sceen appears briefly.
Did it from Accessories as admin and nothing happens.

Ran it from Access on this machine and it worked as it should.
