The closure of BDT may not effect to many prices ( time will tell), but if more suppliers close and others put up their prices, it will have a roll on effect on all shops. All price spy is, is a directory/ search engine telling a person what shops are selling an item at what price - if the shops change prices it will reflect in price spy. |

If you are the consumer and you are after a product what do you do?......You go shopping......you check places out......you compare prices.....you buy at the price that you are willing to pay.....or you wait for a SALE!!!!.....Or you wait for a new product to come out that puts the old products price down!!! Or you can get relations overseas to get things for you. You can get things from overseas when you go on holiday yourself. You can import products yourself from Ebay and TigerDirect!!! And yeah you dont have to buy it as well!!!! :D:):banana:lol::clap |

BDT are closeing down the grumpy old business owners want to have a cry all by themselfs!!!:crying They dont like people using www.pricespy.co.nz to get good far prices on computer products they wish we could get ripped of instead from them!!!:horrified And by the way I have spent many of thousands of dollars over the years on computer products and been ripped off on prices,until I found www.pricespy.co.nz and now I can have more choice and be more informed on prices and I dont have to buy things in the city I live in,I can get things from all over the place now.And I will tell people to use it as well. Also I work for a living and make over $50,000 a year thank you very much Mr Grumpy Old Man and you are not going to see a cent of that with your attitude and behaviour and I dont buy cheap stuff either!!!:lol::D |

The post is simply stating that one of the major importers is closing due to the financial times. Just been speaking to another major supplier today when ordering some more HDD's - Hard Drives are going up in the next lot of imports from the manufactures, so their prices will reflect - which gets past onto the shops/resellers. So price spy this price spy that means bugger all - all Price spy is, is a search / directory of what shops are selling what ever product at what cost , Nothing more nothing less - and nothing wrong with that- BUT if a shop lists an item and price spy indicates a certain price, if the same shop increases its price it will show as well. - Dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out, and places that dont have enough markup will soon be out of business as they cant afford to pay their staff if no one buys anything. I had a customer ask today for a quote for a new graphic card - he wants to save up for it - I asked when did he intend to purchase one - about 5-6 months time was the answer - Well any price given today would only be a rough guide, in 6 months the prices will have changed several times, maybe up, maybe down. |
