It's not hard to spot a Chinese or oriental person with or without the shillouette (sp?) Key factors are the talking (broken english), physical appearance (hair is a biggie, glasses and facial features) and writing (they all write english the same way). |

If I was the rental owner I'd have found myself an impoverished student (there's lots of them about in the holidays) and bussed them down to the glacier, and paid them to drive the car back. Total cost, a few hundred bucks. Towies are renowned as being as much a rip off as a drug pusher, so why pay them to tow from the middle of the sth island all the way to Wellington? I'd walk there before I'd pay a towie! Maybe pay a local towie to move it to somewhere secure, where the locals and the Kea's won't rip bits off it, but not all the way to Wellington! Sheesh! |
