| 738505 | 2009-01-18 00:07:00 | Boy there are some real contro freaks in this news group. I sugest you all put your names forward for dictator at next election then you can ban everything that you don't like and that seems like thats about 80% of what people do now.. | paulw (1826) | ||
| 738506 | 2009-01-18 00:28:00 | . . . . . It's about time people were made to actually pay their fines instead of being allowed to just keep racking them up only to get them wiped . I think that if you fines reach a limit of say $1000 or more your car should be instantly crushed, and drink drivers should have their drinking hand whacked with a cricket bat . . . . . . . . . . . . totally ! the "slap on the hand with a wet bus ticket" approach to NZ's using vehicles as weapons (even if unintentionally) has got to stop . its meant to be a deterrent not a "how many fines can i afford this month" . this attitude of "killing people with a car is ok as i have an excuse" has got to stop . the pathetic blaming the police speed camera for a death of a innocent person is prove of that . the fact that police blatantly avoid policing road rules simply continues to generate more professionally bad drivers (drivers who intentionally drive badly because they know they can get away with it) . |
