Good idea - It's a PII-233MHz :punk

I have just plugged it in to an external monitor and you can have both the laptop screen and monitor showing the same thing (clone) but it doesn't look like you can have it running in extended desktop mode.

737813 2009-01-13 21:12:00 CYaBro: Thanks so much. Yes, we will definitely take it, please.

The specs sound more than enough for what we want, thanks.

Does not matter too much if the battery does not work. We would run it off the power, anyway.

A network card would be handy, thanks. Easier to transfer files that way.

Does not matter too much what the screen looks like as long as it is readable.

As you say, the HDD will need to be wiped but I am not worried what O/S it uses. What do you recommend?

A friend of mine is going to Whangarei shortly. I will ask him when tonight and will hitch a ride. Can I let you know when, tonight after 6pm?

Thanks so much for your generosity. Much appreciated. Look forward to meeting you.:)

Most appreciated. Would be easy to connect the other two PCs to the laptop.

If you are not in Auckland we could work out some way to collect them.

Thank so much.:thanks

737820 2009-01-14 02:09:00 Use Black Viper's site for Win2K services to switch off Speedy, makes a huge difference on marginal systems, I know, I used Win2K on a 200Mhz PentPro for years, it worked quite well, in spite of people here saying it wouldn't. zqwerty (97)
