| 737812 | 2009-01-13 20:47:00 | You could find the CPU speed with CPU-z. :) Good idea - It's a PII-233MHz :punk I have just plugged it in to an external monitor and you can have both the laptop screen and monitor showing the same thing (clone) but it doesn't look like you can have it running in extended desktop mode. |

| 737813 | 2009-01-13 21:12:00 | CYaBro: Thanks so much. Yes, we will definitely take it, please. The specs sound more than enough for what we want, thanks. Does not matter too much if the battery does not work. We would run it off the power, anyway. A network card would be handy, thanks. Easier to transfer files that way. Does not matter too much what the screen looks like as long as it is readable. As you say, the HDD will need to be wiped but I am not worried what O/S it uses. What do you recommend? A friend of mine is going to Whangarei shortly. I will ask him when tonight and will hitch a ride. Can I let you know when, tonight after 6pm? Thanks so much for your generosity. Much appreciated. Look forward to meeting you.:) |
