What version of windows are you using?? If XP, you need this (www.microsoft.com) if you want to use XP to burn to DVD |

just downloaded cdburnerxp,comes up with this when I try to burn something.(cannot continue with the burning process,because no burning device was detected,install a burning device and restart.Its stuffed is"nt it? |

Um does the burner appear in device manager?? It must be there, if windows detected the dvd when you put it in the burner. Put a normal cd in it. Does it work?? Its either the burner or that blank dvd thats dead |

Must be the blank dvd then its knackered. Install the update above. It'll let you burn to cd or dvd from within XP. Once you do that reboot, chuck that dvd in right mouse / format. See if it formats it |

hold on,there's a jingling sound coming from imageburn,erasing complete,it seems to be burning,so why do I have to format it,erase it? They are Transonic. |

I have no idea why you had to format it. But thats why theyre RW (rewritable). I dont use RW (I dont trust them) |

windows now reads it,says I can now copy to cd,works fine,thank -you Speedy,weird that I have to format them.Bugger that i"ll just buy normal ones,lol.Cheers all. |
