843763 2009-12-27 23:23:00 No.

On the contrary, my laptop has started to hang unexpectedly when the Windows has started. I have tried restarting the laptop repetitively, but I face the same problem again and again.

And now, I can't use it at all because it can't boot up in the first place.

843764 2009-12-27 23:31:00 So can you get into the BIOS? Sweep (90)
843765 2009-12-27 23:32:00 Dont think its because you updated the BIOS. Well you probably had to update the BIOS, if 708 wasnt on it. Or it may have fried. If you can get into the BIOS, set it to its default settings. Then reconfigure it. Make sure the hdd is the bootdisk Speedy Gonzales (78)

I will try to boot up the laptop again in 10 minutes time. Right now, when I press the power button, it wouldn't start.

When the laptop was able to boot up, I went to the settings page but I'm not sure how to change the settings to default.

Hunting for screenshots at the moment.

843768 2009-12-27 23:41:00 Is it connected to power? There will be an option in the BIOS somewhere for it, select it Speedy Gonzales (78)

It is connected to the mains, yes.

I went to F2, and none of the tabs really apply to me.

(Bloody Google spiders are updating too quickly)

843770 2009-12-27 23:46:00 Are you sure its the Z92T not the Z92Tc?? Because they've got different BIOS updates. Look for load optimal defaults. Then reconfigure the settings Speedy Gonzales (78)
843771 2009-12-28 00:01:00 Okay, I can boot up the laptop now.

Yes, I am sure it is Z92T.

Everything feels fine now. I will explore the BIOS settings when I have backed up my patient files.

843772 2009-12-28 01:20:00 I have set the BIOS to "Load Setup Defaults", but the temperature values are still very high. Renmoo (66)
