| 738557 | 2009-01-14 04:12:00 | Hi Guys I think it is a shame that so many of our tourist attractions, rental companies, shops and buses are owned by non kiwis. The Chinese guy owning the rental company that wants his towing paid etc has really hurt our reputation. A Kiwi might have been more compassionate or at least a little more caring, in that they may have waited a few months. Surely if tourists come to NZ they would like to be shown round by Kiwis or Maoris, not fly in on their planes, stay in their hotels, go to their shops etc so that their countires of origin clip the ticket all the way. |

The surname 'Chan' could belong to a member of any number of ethnic groups, including Kiwi. I'm Chinese (by blood anyway) and I still would have made them pay, though I will give them all the time they need. |

| 738562 | 2009-01-14 05:25:00 | Im not going to fork out $1950 just because someone has died.. $1950 is alot of money While it is sad to hear the lost of the family's love ones it is not good business practice just because someone died you have waive all the fees. The company already did its part on waving other expenses like the late car returning fee If the company waives the costs of everyone who have died hiring a car i dont think the company will last very long. |
