740899 2009-01-21 13:22:00 After reading the thread for video help, Im getting kind of interested in making videos for my songs and posting on you tube etc.

Could anybody recommend a good starting out set up, Im not looking anything flash, just dont want to do what i have seen on youtube where people just post a pic and play a song. Thats kinda boring.

Or if anybody wants to have a shot at making a clip, i cant pay anything but im up for anything lol

740900 2009-01-21 19:13:00 What about making your own - have someone record your self playing the songs - looks good when the actual artist is playing. wainuitech (129)
740901 2009-01-21 20:38:00 I thought about that, but I also thought of trying something different as Im pretty boring to watch. I even thought of taping a cam to the ehd of the fret board, hang one off the roof lol, I dont know... I havent even got a decent camera! rob_on_guitar (4196)

740905 2009-01-22 03:05:00 You could do what snow patrol did with open your eyes - strap a camera to the front kit on your car and go for a drive somewhere. Cut between that and bits of the band playing, cam on fretboard etc etc, bit of overlay always looks great with a close up/slo-mo of drums or guitar.

Chuck some random filter and some old film effects on the car tape, whack it together, and voila.

In practise it's much harder, but hey. :p

Sorry can't help otherwise !

Maybe not cool but still impresive
