740441 2009-01-20 01:30:00 I don't mind paying a small fee, just so long as it's legal. davidmmac (4619)
740442 2009-01-20 01:37:00 You can watch them online...

hulu or sling...

Use hotspot Shield to get around the US restriction

740444 2009-01-20 01:50:00 I'm not aware of any legal TV program downloading service outside of the states. Or maybe in the states for that matter. TV shows that are aired on free-to-air tv can be watched without paying for them, and watched free online so whats the hassle downloading them for free?

Im my humble opinion. :p

TVNZ on demand doesn't have the show I want, but bbc iplayer does, however this is only available in the UK. Is there any legal way to get around this?

You can use a VPN to make yourself appear as though you are coming from the UK. Something similar to Hotspotshield, but with a UK endpoint would be ideal for what you want.

740448 2009-01-20 07:12:00 Been looking at trying to do that too so far with no luck as I like a lot of BBC programs gary67 (56)
740449 2009-01-20 07:42:00 I haven't used their services personally so can't vouch for their quality, but this company may be worth a look:

740450 2009-01-20 08:43:00 Be very very careful what you are signing up for especially if the site says there's a special limited time 1-off bargain fee.
I got suckered last year...the special offer only lasted for 3 days then it went onto a monthly rebilling. I couldn't find any way of cancelling and my emails went unanswered.
Yeah, I should have been OK because I paid with my VISA.
As soon as I saw the first monthly debit to my card I contacted VISA, got sent a form etc etc. and it just went on.
It took 3 months and the issue of a new card to stop the debits. Could I get VISA to recover my money?
NO....I was told that I would have to make my own claim to the US courts.
