739697 2009-02-08 03:22:00 Looks pretty comfy . . .

The only downside to owning a caravan is having to tow it around .

And when you combine that fact with the fact that generally you're towing it when everyone else is also going on holiday, be prepared to become the target of abuse from other motorists (unless you are one of a rare breed of caravanners who actually pull over from time to time to let the traffic, that has inevitably built up behind you, pass) .

Thats also an upside too . Because you are towing it, you can drop it at the camp site and just take whatever you are using to tow it into town . Hard to park a bus in a car park .

True, but if you have a bus there are bus stops in all the major cities, prime parking and I have never seen a meter or time limit on one:lol:

Lol I don't think Metla would fall into this category, he seems to me to be the type of person that I would generally refer to as a ****.

739701 2009-02-08 13:15:00 Highly recommend Orakei Korako on Lake Ohakuri - Turn off by Mihi Bridge on the Rotorua Taupo Road,
Looking for good tramping - Nelson Lakes National Park - go up the Sabine -
good huts, not too strenuous for the passably fit.

739702 2009-02-08 18:33:00 Just come back from Papaaroha premo place. It is jam packed but real friendly place.
Took boat got bulk snapper off the muscle rafts, tractor to put boat in only $3 day.
Its got a general store and gas pumps. Going back for Easter found paradise and its only 3 and bit hours away.
