| 740473 | 2009-01-25 02:36:00 | I was doing a bit of browsing this morning and I found this (http://www.graboid.com/). Does anyone know if it's legal? I did a bit of googling and it came up with a mixed bag. Some said it was, others said it wasn't . Down the bottom of the homepage it says this: Graboid does not host any content. We only provide links to internet video sources that comply with the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA). |

| 740475 | 2009-01-29 01:33:00 | There is a legal way to create an account on the U.S. Itunes store and download TV programs (I would suggest you do some google searching). Please note, in the Terms of Use, Itunes says it reserves the right to check your location and terminate your account (but this has been in the terms for 4 years now) |

| 740479 | 2009-01-29 04:40:00 | Mind if I ask where you got them from? I downloaded them via torrent. My personal opinion on downloading TV Shows free is it's fine, some people think differently. |

| 740480 | 2009-01-29 05:15:00 | If these show were broadcast in NZ within a few weeks, then there would be no need to download them. Just what am I paying my Sky fees for again???? Its a bit of a grey area as to whether this could be called piracy, given that some some these TV downloads are actually(eventually) shown free to air...and can be legally(??) copied on your old VCR. It may be called anything you like. Piracy, Copying, Ripping and etc. Then we have media issues. Let us say that I bought xyz allbum in 1970 and have it in Vinyl 33.3 Currently I have no turntable on which to play said album but I can buy a turntable from DSE or borrow a turntable for that matter. So I buy or borrow a turntable and then convert to CD using software via my computer. So now I can listen to the album I paid for in my car in CDA format. Then take it a step further and I convert all albums to MP3 and can put around 200 tracks on one CD and mix and match as I feel like it. Bear in mind that I can not listen to my car stereo and the original recording at the same time. I will not upload the music I have to a P2P network. I am fully aware that some people do this For those people that use P2P, torrents and etc Good luck. There are legal reasons for these. I guess it depends on what you share. Oh and I forgot. It also depends on whether or not you get caught becuase nothing is wrong unless you get caught and there is sufficient evidence to convict. |
