According to a news report they are closing.

739681 2009-01-20 20:59:00 Just my 2c .

I would ascertain what you reall want from this trip and then draw some options down . Ie . set up criteria(s) .

No caravan experience but I would think generally they should be equipped in most places .

Over Xmas I been to a number of places in S Island and last w'end to Taupo .
My fav was Tekapo . Quiet, not many pple thou some tourist, lake is gorgeous, and it curves in like a lagoon, calm lakes at the same time iconic with the church, snow capped mountains of mt cook even in summer while it is hot on ground zero . I would like somewhere around Tekapo maybe out a way where it is more quiet if you wanna do camp sites .

Around Taupo, not calm lake, big lake, cliff fall off, nothing interesting for me .

What sort of bus are you after and how long?
Ritchies sell their Mercs for fa. They have a list of retiring buses, they are well maintained just got to dump the seats and fit out.
Stay away from old AECs (no parts around for pre select gearbox) and anything with Leyland 680 engine.
Bedford SB3 or VAS with Isuzu 6BD1 engine good but dont get turbo (6BD1T)
