I used Adobe Premiere elements for years and imo that's sweet for a wide range of users, Dead simple to use, plenty of power and ability. Have recently switched to Premiere Pro, which is sweeeeeeeeeeeet. |

| 740424 | 2009-01-20 21:13:00 | Hey guys. Thanks heaps for the positive and timely responses. I will break it down. What my problem is: I record in 4:3, log and capture the clip in Final Cut Pro using DV-PAL 48KHz using 4:3 aspect ratio. The preview window of that then captured footage gives me black bars on either side of the frame and the quality generally looks bad, it also exports the footage in a 4:3 screen (when exporting to a .mov) but it's all squashed with the black bars remaining at the sides. I re-capture the footage in DV-PAL 48KHz Anamorphic and the captured footage looks a lot clearer but it now presents its self in 16:9 ratio (which makes the footage look like it's being sandwiched) with black bars at the top and the bottom, but it exports the footage to 4:3 (with the 16:9 ratio dissapearing along with the black bars) when i view the exported .mov. DEEP BREATH. I am somewhat happy with the finished result when i capture the footage in DV-PAL 48KHz Anamorphic as it exports it to a 4:3 ratio with acceptable quality (i use a Sony DVCAM, www.leoscamera.com). I'm just finding it weird as to why it shows itself in 16:9 when i'm editing. Cheers! |
