739726 2009-01-17 03:41:00 100 percent my fault, and as it fell I grabbed the strap and yanked it which caused it to whiplash into the floor much harder then if it just fell.

No chance of fixing it with tape, you can't tune em with a crack in em. it broke about 6 inches below the head.

A pro could fix it I suppose, but I cant imagine that would be cheaper then just buying another.

739728 2009-01-18 03:26:00 how tall are you? ive dropped both of mine plenty of times and never done any damage

in future you want to get yourself these little clip things, you unscrew the screw thing that holds the strap on the guitar and screw in this little clip thing (some on trademe i think) and then screw the other bit either side of the strap so it cant come out and then the strap clips to the guitar like one of those metal button things some jackets have

itl never drop then unless you fall over

replacing neck means chance to upgrade the neck :-)

739729 2009-01-18 11:28:00 How tall am I?

A snippet under 6 foot.

I think it has more to do with how clumsy I am.

also, I can't dance, so no bananas for me either.

739731 2009-01-18 20:11:00 My dog has fleas!

I know just how to play a Ukelele.

And I might add I can play Chopsticks on a piano.

We learn what we need or want to learn over time.

As for singing I am now a bass-baritone and I used to sing tenor. I wonder why that is.

739732 2009-01-18 21:36:00 All is not lost. You can get that fixed for not so much.

You cant fix it, but you can replace the neck, but you would pay more for that then what you paid for it.

I might have a cheapo around, Ill see what I can do.

.... given sufficient quantities of alcoholic refreshment....

Unless you aren't speaking metaphorically, in which case I would advise against supplying a bear (black, brown, grizzly, polar, panda etc) with anything alcoholic. 'Cos then you'll just wind up with a bear with a sore head! :D

No worries, went and got my old one off my brother seeing as I was in the mood.

And lo and behold, I still have the magic, Those 3 badly configured chords I mastered last time came back to me in just as bad a shape as before, Its like I never gave up.
