| 844702 | 2010-01-01 05:25:00 | Hi there JUst bought the Logitech 5.1 6 speaker system. It works really good but i have a low grade humming from the central speakers Any thoughts? Could it be my mobile or cordless telephone, the freezer?? |

| 844708 | 2010-01-01 23:20:00 | Not likely to be interference or tangled cables, cables are meant to be tangled.......... :) Since it is only one channel, then the indication is that there may be a fault on that channel, either bad connection, or, a fault in that channels' amplifier. Disconnect that channel from computer, short out the inputs at the jack, and turn speaker volume up. If there is still hum then the amplifier is probably faulty. |

| 844710 | 2010-01-01 23:46:00 | Hum problems and earth loops can be difficult to solve. Now you have to try and find out how to run the USB hard drive without generating hum. It is odd that it only affects one channel. See what happens if you use another USB socket. |

| 844711 | 2010-01-01 23:52:00 | You can get a mains hum if one the items in your system is plugged in with a wrongly fitted plug. Suggest you check the polarity of the mains plug for the USB drive (assuming that it has a power pack with a plug). You you should also check the mains plugs on the computer & amplifier. Check the earth continuity on your multi plug board, extension cord etc. Is there an earth on the amplifier? Check that the speaker leads are not reversed. |
